FINISH STRONG... beginning a new blog

What an incredible time of preparation & prayer I've had over the summer
months! Launching this business and web site has challenged, terrified and
stimulated me in ways I've never experienced. W. Clement Stone said it well,
"When you discover your mission, you will feel its demand. It will fill you
with enthusiasm and a burning desire to get to work on it."

Do you remember the scene from the 1989 movie Parenthood where Gil &
Karen Buckman (Steve Martin & Mary Steenburgen) are talking about their
frenetic lives. Grandma wanders in and starts talking about the roller coaster...

"...

You know, it was just so interesting to me that a ride could make

so frightened, so scared, so sick, so excited, and so thrilled all

together! Some didn't like it. They went on the merry-go-round.

That

just goes around. Nothing. I like the roller coaster. You get

more out

of it."

I agree with Grandma Buckman... I like living life on the roller coaster... Life
lately has certainly had moments mixed with terror and delight. But I have a
confidence that at the end, I will arrive safe and sound... and that I will FINISH STRONG!

For me, Finishing Strong means being able to look back on my relationships, my
projects, my entire life with a sense of accomplishment and pride. It means
knowing that everyone who is important to me, including God, looks at my life
and smiles with pleasure.
